Formation of Naval Park

The Buffalo and Erie County of Naval & Military Park has its origins when in 1976 the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency made a request to United States Department of Navy on behalf of the Buffalonian for creation a park called The “Buffalo And implemented by buffalo naval and servicemen’s park. It aimed to obtain a retired American naval vessel and set up an unmatched naval park. In 1977, construction of the park commenced and within two years it was complete. The park welcomed its first set of visitors on the 4 th July,1979 as ingress into one more stage in the Buffalo waterfront history.

A Fleet of Historic Vessels

The park, in fact, is the proud home to a few of the military naval vessels that have been decommissioned but which played important parts in United States’ history. USS Little Rock

USS Little Rock of Cleveland-class cruiser is one of the most well-known parts of the park. Opening Hours and Admission

In this struggle, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park opens to allow any one a free access in April-Oct period as it welcomes visitors starting from 10.a.m. up to 5.p.m on daily basis when at their own will. It is closed for the rest of the year, except for a couple of days around Thanksgiving. The admission fees are , $10 for an adult, $6 for a senior and the same fee applies to children between 06 years up too16.year old. Children below 5 years of age enter free.
